Monday Night Soccer
Registration Information

Registration for our Fall/08 indoor session is now open. Read below for Frequently Asked Questions about the league/season.

Who Can Register?

St. Michael's Soccer Club is open to those 18 years and older, regardless of skill level and experience. You can either register as an individual player and be placed on a squad, or you and your friends can register your existing team (minimum of 12 players per team). If teams are short players, the league can help to make up the difference. Our goal is to make the game of soccer accessible to anyone wishing to play.

Where and when will the games be played?

The fall session of our indoor season will start on October 27, 2008. All games will take place on Monday evenings and the season will run for 13 weeks (1 week of exhibition play, 11 regular season games and 1 week of playoffs for the top 4 teams in both divisions.)

Games will be played at the Metro Sports Centres located at 1510 Birchmount Road (entrance is on Burcana Rd) which is 2 streets South of Birchmount and Ellesmere in Scarborough. Games will take place at 8p.m., 9p.m., 10p.m. and 11p.m.  Click HERE for directions to the facility.

We will be hosting 16 teams with 2 divisions in the league. One division will be for more skilled teams while the other division will be for recreational play.

Cost of registration?

The cost of registration for our Fall/08 indoor season is $150.00/player (Team/Player provides own uniform) or $160/player (League provides team/player with uniform).  New individuals registering with the league who wish to be placed on a team will be required to pay $160 which will include a jersey top.

For those registering a team, registration is also on a first-come, first serve basis.  Once teams provide a deposit of either either $750 or $800, depending on the need for a uniform, your spot will be held for the upcoming indoor season.

Again, for team registration the league requires a minimum of 12 players per team.

Team Bonds

For the Fall 2008 indoor season, teams will be fined $50 for their 1st defaulted game as a result of not being able to field 4 players by the start of the game, and $75 for their 2nd defaulted match. As a result, registered teams will be required to post a $125 bond which will be due before or on September 24, 2007. As well, fine payments for players incurring cards will automatically be subtracted from the team bond. Should any team not have enough funds in their team bond to cover the fine for a defaulted game or player fines, the team captain will be required to provide the league with the amount to cover the difference before the next game. Cash for any funds remaining in the team bond will be issued to the TEAM CAPTAIN  at the end of the Fall 2008 season.
